Two Brides

The timeline is so important. Thankfully we are working with our DOC to put one together, here is what we have so far:

0800 – Hair & Make-up at hotel with Brides, Mothers, MOH, grandmas?

1030- Emma and Marie (friends) arrive at hotel

1100 – Photographer arrives at Hotel Monaco

1100 – Chuppah and ceremony decor set-up begins in Grove

1130- Bouquets delivered (Helen Olivia Flowers)

1145- Checkout from hotel

1200- Bridal portraits at hotel

1245 – Brides depart for Woodend (Hotel Monaco, we are using Regal Limos

1300 – Set-up begins inside Mansion (Occasions Catering)

1400 – Bouquets delivered (Helen Olivia Flowers)

1330- Arrive at Woodend, group family portraits:

-couple and all immediate family (those present for Ketubah signing)

-couple and k’s mom

-couple and n’s parents

-couple with attendants

-couple with grandparents

1400 – Cupcakes delivered (Sticky Fingers )

1400 – Ketubah Signing with some sort of food and beverage

– Bride’s, immediate family and Rabbi only: parents, siblings and in-laws, grandparents, Natalie’s uncle may be filming

– Natalie’s Brother to make speech, Natalie’s sister to make speech

1430 – Guests start arriving

1430 – DJ set-up (Will Eastman)– I don’t think he comes that early…can you confirm with him?

1500 – Ceremony in Grove (Rabbi Fred)

  • – Cellist – Loren Westbrook Fritts

  • Ceremony details:

    • Processional: K’s grandma, N’s grandparent’s, Peter, DJ, Lauren, K goes 1/2 way with mom, N meets her with parents, then couples circles each other 7 times and approaches Chuppah (cellist ends playing when we arrive at Chuppah)

    • Opening liturgy, first Kiddush cup, “Erusin” liturgy

    • Ring exchange

    • Readings to eachother

    • Fred talks about us

    • Ketubah reading: N’s dad does Hebrew, both moms narrate English

    • Rabbi Fred narrates, communal 7 blessings

    • Wine, smash lightbulbs, kiss

1535-45ish – Yichudachid

– Have cocktail food upstairs brought to tall grass for Brides (weather permitting, we will first walk off into the tall grass alone…NO PHOTOGRAPHER!)

1545 – Cocktails on side patio & inside house

– Wedding Party & Family included; Jennifer helps brides with bustle

– Jazz Trio: Brad Linde Trio

1630 – Motzii, Blessing & Buffet Dinner on Patio

– Natalie’s Grandparents conduct Motzii, K’s grandma reads English

– Rabbi Fred performs Blessing

– Salad Served

1730 – Brides mingle w/ guests at tables

1825- Jennifer helps brides remove veils

1830 – Dessert served

  • – Save large quantity of food for Bride’s to take home after

1830- First dance “Empires Fall” played by Tom Goss, who at end invites everyone onto floor with “Bed of Clouds”

18370 – DJ begins with hora

1840 – Dancing

1945 – Cake Cutting & Toasts by Natalie’s Father & Both Bride’s

2015 – Anniversary Dance – As Time Goes By, Jimmy Durante (Natalie’s Grandparents)

2015- Play Russian song, esp. for N’s grandparents, but everyone on the dance floor

2020 – Father-Daughter Dance to “Nathalie” by Gilbert Bicaud

2045 – before last slow song (“When It Don’t Easy”–Patty Griffin), play one more sequence of Jewish music for group dancing

2100 –Reception Ends

2200 – Clean up must be finished (per Woodend’s contract)

I’m tired just looking at this thing!!! But it gives future brides a great idea of what really happens when you break down the day. And you should. I plan on giving this to all my vendors, with directions and phone numbers to call. Plus my DOC will be making sure everyone is following the timeline the day of.
