Ok all you modern lesbians. I found your ketubah. Really, I did. If I had not just put my deposit down for a custom done ketubah, I would be handing my credit card over as we speak to this awesome artist. New Ketubah is modern, cool, and just gorgeous. And she allows you to put in your own custom test for a minimal amount of money. Because no one wants those ‘reform’ or ‘conservative’ texts(and hey! where is the reconstruction text!!) but some are pretty open ended in terms of wording for same-sex couples. Meet with your Rabbi and hash it out. We did today…and I have to say if your in the DC area and not being married by Rabbi Fred of Adat Shalom, your missing out on the most queer/feminist/eco educated Rabbi ever. Anyway, back to the ketubahs, these are finally something you feel good about hanging on your wall. Not some old 50’s jewish ‘artist’ who wears cat sweaters and weird glasses.  You want fresh and modern. And by golly, I found it.

I’m an Auntie! Miss Shyai was born and I’m officially an aunt.  Which means I have to get it the cutest onesie on the planet. Maybe she’ll wear it for the wedding with a cute tutu skirt. I can’t think of anything tackier. Except maybe a rainbow tutu- now that’s even better.

Speaking of which, WHY oh WHY are there rainbow wedding rings? Who wears those pieces of horrible tackiness. They are so bad and I see them in every gay magazine. Honestly, as a gay community, we need to come together and burn those things. I’m looking at you lesbians. I don’t think I would spot those rings on any self respecting gay man’s hand. Ever. I know I know, you want it to match your rainbow eyebrow ring but c’mon, for your wedding?? Really???

I saw Chewing the Cud featured on a Style Me Pretty and have been eagerly waiting the opening. Finally her shop is open! I have honestly not seen so much creativity in an invitation/paper company. The style is amazing too. Located in San Fransisco, her ideas are just too good to not stare. She even helps you out with event details.

I’m totally smitten.

Just when you thought Etsy was completely done, some wedding stuff pops up. Couture wedding stuff, with $300 price tags. Mhhmm.

Apparently this talented girl had these for a fashion show and now wants to sell them– hell yes I want one. I heart the pink dress the most because of the fab mermaid line. But really? It’s all good.
